While we both offer a unique experience, some key differences remain. One of the most significant differences between Airbnb and us is the level of personal interaction a guest may have with the owner or innkeeper. We live on-site, we greet you and see you in your room, we offer recommendations, and in general, we do our best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Typically with an Airbnb property, the level of interaction is minimal, if at all, and most of the time, guests are left to their own devices.
Another key difference is the level of amenities provided. We offer a more traditional, cozy experience, with comfortable rooms, a homemade breakfast, and communal gathering spaces like our library, outside patio, and historical dining area. Very homelike. On the other hand, Airbnb rentals can vary widely regarding what's included. Some may be fully stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay, while others may be more basic and require guests to bring their own supplies.
When traveling, we've had positive experiences with both options. Choosing between a traditional bed and breakfast like ours and an Airbnb really comes down to personal preference. It comes down to the type of travel experience that you are looking for. We are the way to go if you value personal interaction and a cozy, homey atmosphere. If you prefer more flexibility and the ability to customize your stay to your exact needs, an Airbnb rental may be a better fit.
