May is for Celebrating

To me, May has always been the start of summer with school letting out and of course, my birthday always falls around Memorial Day Weekend. The patio here at the Inns at 8th and Main is the perfect place to enjoy the summer weather and that is how we are going to start this summer off.

Dan will be lighting up the grill, and I will be cooking up a feast all for you to sit back and enjoy a wonderful evening under the twinkly lights. The only thing that might be required of you is to cook your steak to perfection unless you can talk Dan into lending a hand.

Summer supper menus must include a scrumptious salad, seasonal vegetables, a baked to perfection potato, and let’s not forget the all-important dessert. To finish the evening off, enjoy s’mores by the fire. You might also know that food is my love language, and whatever I decide to cook up is going to be delicious. I promise.

As you know, we currently do not have a liquor license and are unable to sell alcoholic beverages. However, you are welcome to bring your beverage of choice to enjoy and will be happy to provide glasses, corkscrews, and ice for no additional charge.

After a night on the patio, you will want to take an evening stroll down picturesque Main Street and enjoy the quiet nightlife here in McConnelsville. You might even wind up at Old Bridge Brewing Company for a nightcap of one of Brewer Dean’s award-winning brews.

Following an enjoyable evening and a comfy night's sleep in your luxurious room here at the Inn, you will wake up to the smells of fresh coffee and a delectable breakfast prepared by your two favorite innkeepers. As always, the table will be beautifully set with vintage dishes, and it will give you all the feels to want to linger and enjoy the slow morning pace here at the Inn.

All of this, along with the other Inn amenities and area attractions is reason enough to escape to McConnelsville and share an experience with that special someone. And by all means, bring along a friend or two. Come stay with us. We promise to spoil you. Afterall, The Inns at 8th & Main is where history and luxury meet.
