We love our guests! We love hosting each and every one of them. Visitors come from far away and just around the corner. They are all very different, and they come to our bed and breakfast for different reasons. Weddings, reunions, girls trips, or nearby events and entertainment..... There is always a reason to stay at The Inns at 8th & Main.
Business travel and visits to local family and friends are the top reasons our guests give for visiting. Our luxury accommodations provide each type of guest with the finest amenities in a historic atmosphere. We anticipate and accommodate life celebrations, dietary restrictions, and people with varied abilities.
After two years in business, we are ecstatic to be welcoming the ideal bed and breakfast guests. These are the folks just looking to get away for the weekend - travelers who have no ties to Morgan County. They are romantics, influencers, motorcycle riders, Wilds Safari Park adventurers, craft beer enthusiasts and winery hoppers, Buckeye Trail hikers, ghost hunters and mushroom hunters.
There's so much to see and do, and we encourage guests to #experiencemoco. We are always happy to recommend favorite spots and activities to our visitors to make sure that their travel needs are met for a comfortable stay. It’s like having your own personal concierge.
A recent guest graciously left us this Google Review:
“My wife and I were looking for a relaxing day away for just the two of us, and the Inns at 8th and Main provided us with exactly that. The location is simply stunning. The rooms are elegantly maintained, and detailed. The mixture of High ceilings, traditional architecture, wall tapestries, a sprinkle of all the necessary modern technology, and a wee bit of Americana flair create an engaging, yet restful environment. If I were to ever need to stay in McConnelsville, OH for Business I would certainly stay here as well. The Library is simply beautiful. The Breakfast the next day was AMAZING!. Breakfast cake, Bacon, Eggs and Rice pudding! Locally sourced, simplicity cooked to perfection! Last but not least, Dan, Amy and Henry understand that a B&B is more of an experience than it is about filling a simple need. They were engaging, and supportive and brightly spirited; and with all of that... they facilitated a Beautiful Experience for my wife and I. I might never need to go back to McConnelsville, but our time spent there this last weekend, will certainly cause me to find every reason to go back and stay at this fantastic establishment again.” - Jared T.
Everything we do is intentional, and we are so happy that Jared and his wife had a great experience at the Inns. We love every kind of guest, but guests that appreciate the entire experience and come for no reason other than a relaxing getaway are our favorite kind. We hope to see them back real soon!
Overnight travelers, weekenders and business travelers sometimes find themselves seated together at the breakfast table. This is where conversation flows freely, connections are made and guests find themselves mingling and making new friends with other guests.
Recently, an exchange between some of our overseas business travelers and a couple who came to just get away turned into a networking session where the couple found solid travel advice for their next bucket list trip to Europe. They were pleasantly surprised to meet guests from across the pond at a breakfast table in Morgan County.
We often find ourselves lending our home to past area residents. They come back to celebrate life events whether they be happy or somber occasions. Sometimes they are already acquainted with the house or its past residents.
Long-time past resident Bill Allen returned to Morgan County for a memorial service. Mr. Allen remembered visiting the home as a kid and shared memories of playing with the Christie children who lived at the Stone House. While he stayed with us, he hosted his sons for breakfast, lingered over dinner conversations with his invited guests, and spent time with grandkids on the patio.
The Inns at 8th and Main is the perfect backdrop for reconnecting with family and friends in a relaxing and hospitable environment. We love to help guests create lasting memories. It was an honor hosting the Allen Family, and we hope they return.
Whatever your reason is for visiting the Inns at 8th & Main, rest assured it will be a memorable and lasting experience. Dan and I welcome you into our home and can’t wait to host you!
Join my husband Dan and I as we remodel, cook, host and share an amazing life together in these old historic homes.
