Winter Escape at The Inns at 8th & Main
Happy Winter Solistice Friends!
We hope this finds you healthy and happy during this holiday season. Dan and I have given ourselves a bit of grace the past few weeks as we recouped from the nasty flu that has been going around.
Travel is less for many this time of the year, and luckily for us, the Inn has been slow as we have been healing our bodies. The flu penciled itself in at the perfect time of year.
As we rested, we binged on a lot of television. We loved the Stanley Tucci show about the food of Italy on Discovery Plus Network, and my other favorite is The Lost Kitchen, based on a small restaurant in Freedom, Maine. Unfortunately, that is a double edge sword because it has filled my head with many ideas for the coming year. STAY TUNED!
The renovations next door have gone on hiatus, too, for the next few minutes anyway. We have firmed up our ideas during this time and promised to lay a timeline out after the holidays. We are holding to the concept of giving ourselves grace, especially as we have looked back over all that we have accomplished in the past few years.
