Percy’s Antiques & Vintage, located in the inviting lobby of The Inns at 8th and Main, celebrates all things timeless. It also happens to be one of Ohio’s newest gem antique stores.  Named after Amy’s beloved flying pig, Percy, the shop is filled with handpicked vintage and antique finds carefully curated to add character and charm to any home. The Consignment Process

Pre-Approval Process

 

  • Email photos of your items to percys@theinnsat8thandmain.com (preferred) or bring your mobile device with pictures to the store for consideration. Please call 740-651-5198 to schedule an appointment to drop off or for final consideration.

 

  • Our shop hours are limited, and we want to focus on your potential customers. We also do not want you to wait during busy store hours, so we prefer emailed photos. We typically respond within 24-36 hours of receiving the emailed photographs. 

 

  • When emailing photos, please provide us with any pertinent information to help us access their value for resale. Any additional information you can provide is helpful when considering your merchandise (brand name, age, condition, original price and/or receipts, etc). This information will help us price your merchandise well. 

 

  • Further, your photos need to accurately disclose the condition of your furniture, noting any damage, deep scratches, stains, rips, fading, missing parts, pet odors, etc.  This will avoid any preapproval and/or acceptance problems once the items are delivered here. 


 

  • All items must be clean, in great or excellent condition, and ready for retail display. We do not have the staff to clean or repair your items, and Percy’s is not a thrift store; therefore, we have higher standards for the items that we accept and offer for sale in-store or online.

Upon Approval

 

  • We accept consignments by appointment only. Please note that our store hours are Thursday through Saturday, 11 AM to 6 PM. Call 740-651-5198 to schedule your appointment.  

 

How it Works

 

  • Items will be inspected at drop-off to ensure they are in the described condition and have no undisclosed damage. 

 

  • AGAIN, all items must be clean and in great or excellent condition.

 

  • The consignment agreement is a 90-day contract period (with possible extension at our discretion). At the end of the consignment period, you will be instructed to pick up your items within three days, or they will be donated to the local charity donation station. 

 

  • Items will be marked down 15-20% every 30 days for a maximum of 50% within the 90-day contract period.

 

  • You will receive a 40/60 split of the sale, meaning you get 60% of the proceeds, and we get 40%.

 

Pay-Out

 

  • If you have not heard from us by the end of your contract or have yet to receive any payments, please contact us at least seven days before the end of your contract. 

 

  • Please note that we release funds of over $50.00 each month on the 20th, and checks will be ready for pick up on the 21st or after that unless it is at the end of a contract period. We prefer to write larger checks vs. smaller ones, especially if you have several items on consignment with us.
