Where History & Luxury Meet

History of The Stone House

The "Stone House" was built by an Englishman named Serrell Richardson in 1835. It was originally a coach stop and tavern. The sandstone is believed to have been quarried upriver and floated down on rafts and barges. The house was built with many outstanding architectural features that are still there today.

"What a gem! I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of work and restoration that went into this 1800’s home. The Inn at 8th and Main is truly charming. The decor is warm, inviting and the hosts are so gracious." - Alexa H.
